Every now and then it’s nice to get to know or have a catch up with the person behind the blog. There’s been some changes in my life and I wanted to share with you all a little life update.
It’s been a bumpy road getting Alex settled into nursery life. He’s always enjoyed going but he was having some issues sharing and playing with others. Now he’s starting to make friends and get involved with class activities.
At the moment we are on the Easter holidays (I know it’s early!) he keeps asking to go to nursery and see his friends. It is so cute how much he likes it.
Mums New Hip
In February I had planned to do a decluttering challenge in our home. I got a few days before abandoning it (for now). We’d been spending every day at my mums house after she had a replacement hip operation which meant that when we got home in the evening decluttering was the last thing from my mind.
Thankfully the operation went well and mum is recovering very well.
For a few months I’ve been helping Natalie from The Unchargeables by volunteering as website coordinator. I’ve been concentrating a lot of my energy on getting to know my role as website coordinator. It’s really interesting and requires a lot of organisational skills, which satisfies my need for being organised.
Now that I’ve got myself settled into helping out Natalie. I’ve established a daily routine that will hopefully allow me to do both the unchargeables and my own blog.
What A Pain In The…,.
For a while now my mental and physical health, more specifically my pain has been a lot worse than normal. I believe that this and the increasing severity of other symptoms is due to anxiety and stress caused by an ongoing issue with our neighbours. I’m not going to talk about what’s going on, for the moment anyway. It’s been a nightmare.
Listening, Reading and Watching
Lately I’ve started watching Merlin on Netflix. I’m 4 series in with only one to go. I wasn’t sure if it would be a show I liked. My mum has watched it. I decided to give it a go. I’m well and truly hooked.
David and I recently went to see Captain Marvel. It was brilliant I really enjoyed it. The soundtrack takes me back to my teenage years.
Looking Forward To
I’ve mentioned in a previous post that I’m not a big reader. I have however decided to take part in a book club organised by Cindy of Llama Loves Letters on Facebook and Instagram. The book Cindy has chosen is Heart Talk Poetic Wisdom For A Better Life by Cleo Wade. I’m also looking forward to reading the second instalment of the Numina books by Charlie N. Holmberg which is due for release on 15th April. The first book Smoke and Summons was really good and left me hanging desperate to know what was going to happen next.
Avengers End Game. I can’t wait to see this when it get released. I’ve got high hopes for it and suspect that it will be a bit sad.
I’d love to hear in the comments what others have been up-to, looking forward to lately.
