Is it really December already? It seems that the older I’m getting the quicker the months seem to pass. It honestly feels like 2017 only started not that long ago. But here we are, Christmas is around the corner. The present buying is in full swing, with the stress of getting the perfect gift for loved ones is snapping at my heels. The excitement of all the Christmas food, music, decor and spending time with family is growing daily. This month I am going to relax a little with the goals I’m setting myself and simply enjoy the time of year, watch begin to understand that something is happening and that he will be getting presents, hear him say Santa Claus, which is the cutest thing ever. I am taking part in Blogmas this year which I will talk about more later.
Although I’m not setting goals for December I do want to speak about November’s goals and how it is ok that I wasn’t able to complete any of them.
I planned to read more, detox from social media, create a skincare regime, start a hobby, try a new recipe and exercise. Sadly though after return from Arran (you can read about that here) all of my good intentions feel like my mood. I’m not sure if it was the post holiday blues but my mood plummeted quicker than a rollercoaster dropping from its highest peak. Hurtling straight down with such speed that it felt like my stomach was in my mouth. This meant that I wasn’t focusing on any of my goals, I was merely trying to get through the day.
My mental health isn’t great at the moment that is why I’m not bashing myself for not finishing any of my goals.
Although I have decided not to set specific goals I do hope to finish reading the book I did start and practice my lettering (new hobby) for writing cards and tags. Mostly though I am determined to have a good Christmas, to eat and drink and generally be merry.
I do have a several things planned for the month, which I am really looked forward to.
12 days of blogmas following the challenge put together by Britt over at Alternatively Speaking. These are the ideas that Britt came up with. She did say that the 12 prompts are open to interpretation and to give challenge your own unique twist.
Its not too late to take part in the challenge. you still have time as it doesn’t start until 14th December right up till Christmas Day on 25th. We will be using the hashtag #12dayablogmas for sharing our posts on social media. Be sure to check out as many posts as you can.
Dragart Christmas Cabaret – Along with my mum, aunt and a few other people we are going to see Dragart a drag show that is described as being like no other. The show promises to bring Hollywood Glamour along with Broadway Glitz. I cant wait to see the show, dance in the aisle and have a good time. This is our Christmas night out.
Glasgow Christmas Market – Who doesn’t love a Christmas market? Thats right no-one unless your green and live in Whoville. I haven’t been to a Christmas market in a long time, with Alex beginning to understand Christmas I’m really looking forward to go into Glasgow to the markets, seeing the lights and eating and drinking the yummy food.
How do plan to spend December, do you have big Christmas plans or tend to keep it lowkey? I’d love to hear your thoughts.
As always thank you for reading, please feel free to like, comment and share this or any other of my post.
