Coming to terms with a diagnosis of a long term condition can be difficult. Our bodies and minds are attempting to adjust to the new situation we find ourselves in. We feel a loss for our lives prior to illness. In a way we might approach the loss like we would if we were grieving the loss of a loved one or relationship.
