My Autumn Bucket List – Blogtober 2018 – Day 4

New seasons bring the chance for new and exciting adventures. Day 4 of Blogtober is all about my autumn bucket list. I hope that writing them down and sharing them with the world I will he held accountable and actually tick some of them off before autumn ends and winter begins

Visit a pumpkin patch

Pumpkin patches are newish here in the UK. There is only a few near to where we live.  I hope that we can go to Cairnie Fruit Farm which is in Cupar.  I’ve read that the farm has a Maize Maze with fun activities including a straw bale fortress..  It sounds like fun for the whole family.

Drink Pumpkin Spice Lattes

It’s not properly autumn until I’ve had a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. They taste so delicious. I can’t believe that it took me so long to start drinking them.

Craft with fallen leaves

As a kid I remember painting with fallen leaves and stamping them on to paper. I really want to do this, this year with Alex.

Carve a pumpkin

Pumpkin carving isn’t something that I normally do. I think I’ve maybe done it once. As Alex is that bit older we are going to try and carve a pumpkin this year. It could end badly or look a bit wonky but it will hopefully be fun for all of us.

Make s’mores

I have never had an authentic S’more but I do really want to try one, they sound so yummy.  I’ve been hunting for a good s’more recipe to try.  We don’t have Graham crackers in the UK but I’m going to attempt to make s’mores with digestives or even a ginger nut.

Make a new soup

Each and every autumn and winter I enjoy making soup.  Normally I go for good old lentil soup, it reminds me of my nana as she always made it.  This year I want to try a new recipe.  I was searching on Pinterest and found a recipe for Roast Sweet Potato & Carrot Soup.

Have a cosy night in with the family

As the nights are getting darker and colder, being indoor cosy and warm with the family is something that I’m really looking forward to doing. All three of us snuggled on the sofa with blankets, snacks and a movie.

Try a pumpkin recipe.

I’ve never cooked with pumpkin and would love to try making something like pumpkin pie or maybe a soup.

Thats all I have for my Autumn Bucketlist, I could have written more but I wanted to make it a list that was obtainable..

Do you have a bucket list for this autumn? I’d love to hear about them in the comments.

  1. I drove passed a pumpkin field the other week and I did a double-take – I was really impressive to see. And S’mores are amazing – so sickly but so good ☺️
