Kids Costume Ideas – Blogtober 2018 – Day 16

We (as in my husband) aren’t in to the whole dressing up at halloween mumbojumbo.  Trick or treating or guising as we call it in Scotland isn’t that big a deal. We have a spocktacular event at the end of the month then a Halloween disco on the same day. I asked alex what he wanted to dress up as. He said woody from toy story but then changed his mind to a spider that we saw in Home Bargain. I have found a few other great costume ideas that I wanted to share with you for today’s Blogtober post.

Dragon

This cute dragon costume from H&M is perfect for that last night minute party invite.  H&M isn’t somewhere I would imagine getting a halloween costume from. It is available in 2 sizes 3-6 years and 6-10years.  The head of the dragon is padded, there is also a detachable tail. It looks like the dragon hangs around the child’s waist and there head is enclosed in a hood with spikes.

Spiderman

Who doesn’t want to be a hero? This Spider-Man costume from the Disney store is a great idea. You don’t need to worry about painting little faces to make it look like Spider-Man’s mask. It is a little expensive but if your little one likes dressing up regularly it’s a good costume to go for.

Ghost

This is such a simple last minute costume to do. It’s fairly cheap. All you really need to do is cut eye holes in an old sheet and paint your little ones face white and black round the eyes. A lot of supermarkets are doing face paints for Halloween at affordable prices.

Spider

As I mentioned earlier Alex picked a spider costume in home bargains s which I think cost about £6. It’s one of those puffy costumes that has legs coming out and goggly eyes. I’m going to put him in black trousers and a black top which I think will be super cute. I might even wait a web on his face.

What are you dressing up as for Halloween? Let me know in the comments.
