As the nights are drawing in there’s no better way to pass the time than watching a movie, curled up on the sofa, with a cosy blanket, popcorn and your favourite refreshments. As Halloween approaches and the season of the horror movie is in full swing. I wanted to share my thoughts on The Belko Experiment. When it comes to scary films I’m a wuss. I’ll opt for scream over nightmare on elm street anyway (Freddie Kruger scares the crap out of me). Disclaimer – May Contain Spoilers. When I was younger a day out at the Edinburgh Fringe festival was a regular occurrence. I would go with friends cram in as many shows as possible in one day. Sadly since becoming ill with fibromyalgia I rarely go to any shows especially in the city centre. This year however David & I made plans with my cousin and his wife to go see a few shows. Here’s how our day out at the Edinburgh Fringe festival went. We caught the train about 2 arriving in at Waverley station just before 3pm. The train and station was busy, but I was on a mission and wasn’t bothered by all the people around me a win in the anxiety stacks […]
The Lady Boys Of Bangkok has been a fixture at The Edinburgh Fringe for well over a decade! The shows are a cabaret style with elements of comedy that will have audience members in fits of giggles, singing and dancing along with each performance. This years marks my sixth or seventh year of going to see The Lady Boys. At first I was slightly sceptical about the show, I never thought that seeing men dressed as woman would be entertaining to me…….boy was I wrong. The shows take place in a circus style big top. In the foyer there is a bar, food stand and a merchandise and some props where you can take photos. There are usually 2 performances […]

I settled down with popcorn in hand to watch it for the first time last night. If you’ve seen A New Hope you’ll know that the rebel alliance have the plans of the Death Star meaning they have a way to destroy it. Well Rogue One is all about how they get those plans Its probably best to start by saying that Rogue One isn’t like any Star Wars movie thats been before. Unlike the original movies, prequels and The Force Awakens that center around the protagonists’ being […]
My expectations for Beauty And The Beast was high and its safe to say that those expectations were met.
