Apple Crisps – Healthy Snacks For The Whole Family

If your kids are anything like mine, trying to find snacks that are healthy and tasty are hard to find.  Alex is really fussy about fruit, he only eats grapes and although that is a great snack for him to have I would much prefer that he would try other kinds of fruit or healthy snacks instead of crisps. A few years ago I found a recipe for apple crisps online and felt that for me they would be good snacks, a the time I was on some sort of diet and wanted a snack that was giving me a daily dose of fruit without just eating the fruit.  I tried out the recipe and really enjoyed the apple crisps. Isle Of Arran Cheese Haul & Review

I mentioned in Our Trip To Arran post that we visited the Isle Of Arran Cheese Shop where my mum and her friend spend a lot of money of different cheeses. My mum kindly bought me three, which I’ve finally been able to try. Shop and Online Store. The shop itself is small but full of many varieties of cheeses with observation windows where you can see the cheeses being made. There was plenty of testers and the staff didn’t seem to mind that we kept going back for more. The staff was friendly and helpful. Their website arranscheeseshop.co.uk is easy to navigate, where you can purchase hampers that are pre-made or you can create your own hamper.  Alternatively you […]

Gusto Edinburgh – Food & Drink Review

Gusto a chain of restaurants that have eateries all over the UK including Glasgow, Liverpool, Manchester and Edinburgh. Specialising in Italian cuisine. The Edinburgh restaurant is located on George St. David, myself and my cousin John and his wife Judith went there for dinner and drinks on Saturday during our visit to The Edinburgh Fringe. To save from having to wonder the streets looking for somewhere to eat that had tables available we decided that it would be best to book prior to our visit. Which I was able to do online. I booked a week in advance, receiving a confirmation email and SMS with our booking details.  The website was fairly easy to navigate and booking the table was […]

One Up – Food & Drink Review

During my latest trip into the Glasgow with my mum, auntie and cousin we went to One Up on Royal Exchange Square for a bite to eat and some adult beverages. We enjoyed ourselves so much I decided to write about our experience.  One Up is situated on the first floor, meaning it’s not accessibility friendly.  It looks small when you walk in, it is in fact surprisingly spacious. With booths at the front of the bar, as well as private function rooms which include a party pod for a private kararoke party, Bar 2 which would be ideal for intimate gatherings and The Club which can cater for parties up to 110 people.  As it’s a burger bar there […]
